3D in Illustrator

Developing 3D artwork can be long and agonizing if you're new to it, but the final product is satisfying. I find it amazing how we are capable of creating 3D objects in Adobe Illustrator as I have always considered it a program that allows you to focus on vectoring.

Here are some three dimensional pieces I developed in Adobe Illustrator.

I'm particularly pleased with my R2D2 piece because there are more details on the ground and the body of the subject. I had to spread the shapes out like it was a pattern before wrapping it around the cylindrical body.

This one isn't as impressive as my other two pieces, but I decided it was worth posting because it was one of the few illustrated 3D objects I've done.

The medicine bottle had quite a few details on the label, but it wasn't as difficult to put together as it was for R2D2. The only issue I really had with this was making the opening for the pills to fall out. I needed the right amount of shadow visibility inside. Fortunately it came out fine.
